A Live, Experiential Practicum
This live, participatory practicum combines lecture, Q&A, chart examples, and applied practice. As we work with cycle and transit charts, we will orient around questions such as:
- How do the Major Cycles shape the process of maturing into alignment with ourselves?
- What is a transit stimulating in the birth chart, and how does it connect?
- Which movements are personal, and which belong to the collective field?
- What does this cycle ask of the person moving through it?
- How does the Incarnation Cross unfold across a lifetime?
- How do we tell a native theme from one that arrives with a cycle transit?
- How can we reduce suffering for ourselves and others through times of transition?
The aim is to see timing clearly: what is mechanical, what is cyclical, and what depends on how we meet what life presents.
Reading the Chart in Motion
This module shifts perception from the fixed chart to the chart in motion. Modules 1 and 2 worked with what is set at birth and what forms when designs meet. Here we follow the planets as they keep moving, and observe how that movement contacts and matures a design over a lifetime.
We approach transits and cycles both mechanically and thematically. We look at what is activated, amplified, or temporarily completed, and at what a person takes as their own when it belongs to a passing configuration. Each cycle chart is examined for the developmental pressure it carries and for how the same passage is experienced differently depending on the design receiving it.
What We Explore
The Planets
The first area covers the planets and their function in the design: what each planet carries in the BodyGraph, the distinction between Personality and Design activations, and how a planet’s speed shapes what it brings. Participants learn to read each planet as a distinct force.
Transits and Daily Movement
The second area covers transits in daily life: how a transit meets a defined or undefined center, how temporary definition forms and dissolves, and how the collective transit field conditions everyone at once while affecting each design specifically.
Cycle Charts
The third area covers the major cycles and their chart calculations: the Solar Return, Saturn Return, Uranus Opposition, Kiron Return, and Second Saturn Return. Each brings its own planetary lessons for growth and maturation. Participants learn to read and interpret these charts, and to recognize what is significant in relation to the passages before and after them.
The 2027 Cycle Change
We also look at the current global cycle and the mutation gathering around 2027, and how a collective shift of this scale interacts with personal cycles already underway. This gives context for the transits participants are living through now.
The Life Story
The final area brings the cycles together through the Life Story, the personal mythology each individual can live out through the Incarnation Cross and the Major Cycle Transits. Read thematically, the Life Story traces the themes, patterns, and people a life may move through. A life carries a direction. How a person meets that direction remains theirs.
How the Practicum Works
Each area of study follows a consistent format: two classes focused on conceptual framing, examples, and inquiry, followed by a workshop-style session in which participants apply what has been introduced through live chart work and guided practice.
Classes meet live on Zoom for approximately two hours. Teaching includes chart demonstrations, guided inquiry, and discussion. Workshop sessions emphasize prepared practice, collaborative observation, and real-time feedback.
Each participant works with one chart and its cycle layer throughout the module, tracking it through each passage as a living study to return to as perception sharpens over the ten weeks.
Participation & Readiness
This practicum is participatory and exploratory.
This module is best suited for individuals who:
- have completed Human Design Foundation Courses (Living Your Design, Rave ABCs, and Rave Cartography) or have equivalent familiarity with foundational Human Design concepts
- have working familiarity with individual chart mechanics, including locating gates, lines, and planetary activations, ideally through Module 1 or equivalent experience
- are more interested in the depth of seeing than in prediction or forecasting
- are willing to engage consistently in a live learning environment
It may not be a fit for beginners, those focused solely on certification, or those seeking a passive, lecture-only experience. It invites curiosity, patience, and a sincere interest in learning with others.
